Closed for Winter

The Timeball Tower is now closed for the winter.

On 31st December 2022 there will be a commentary from 2340 to support the New Years Eve midnight Timeball drop.

The Timeball will continue to drop at 1pm daily over the winter.

From 1st April 2023 the summer season Timeball drop cycle, namely hourly from 9am to 5pm, will be activated.

Opening Times for 2023

New Year: Sunday 1st January; 12-2pm

Easter: Friday 7th, Saturday 8th, Sunday 9th and Monday 10th April; 11:30am to 4:30pm

Spring: Saturdays and Sundays only from 29th April to 28th May inclusive; 11:30am to 4:30pm

Public Holidays: Mondays 1st and 29th May; 28th August 11:30am to 4:30pm;

Summer season: From Thursday 1st June to Sunday 1st October, Wednesday to Sunday inclusive; 11:30am to 4:30pm.

During this summer period, the Tower will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
